I feed them puppy complete dried food with some puppy meat added. Hopefully her appetite will improve, Rosie lost interest with her food initially, I put that down to nausea bless her but touch wood she is eating normally again now. I use a whelping box and also have a 8ft by 4ft puppy pen which I put the whelping box in, therefore mom can get out of the whelping box and away from the heat lamp if she wants to. This will be her first litter. Are you hoping to keep one of Rio's pups, she looks like a lovely dog.

i'll have a lokk on that website then for the wormer i written down it got to be 10% solution. i'll email after ive got my other 2 from school if thats ok for guide. My partner wanted to keep one of the pups but we wont be able to as my mother in laws (well really their my partners and his bros when they lefted home they lefted them with their mum and dad as they would missed them too if we took them) staffordshire bull terrier went missing on the 19.01.09 we thought somone pinched her cause they were out on a walk and one minute angel was there with ozzy (the other staff) and then gone. So when all puppies have gone to there new homes i will take ozzy in with us, thats if he hasnt been rehomed by then because at the moment he's going to work with my partner which isnt really fair on ozzy.
I was just going to put a bit on about pens and playpens, and saw your bit about Angel, what a horrible thing to happen, so sorry, hope you get to the bottom of how it happened. With regard to the pens, I have a large pen for my girls and their babies, so they can get in and lie downwith them, you can get these from Pets At Home, they do various sizes, mine cost £79.99. The puppy playpen I got off Ebay, it folds flat and opens into a hexagon shape wit a door in it, they start from small £22.95 + p.p. to xxl. Pic attached.

she will also get stroppy being pregnant aint always a barrel of fun either for dogs we only cary one normally dogs well lol and they only carry for 9 weeks so one week = one month to us so work out how far she is and look at women at that stage :0) first 3 months eugh first month even flipping worse pfft as bonny says keep an eye on her but me thinks your experiencing the pregnant dog big time dont let your daughter fuss to much we shout when annoyed during pregnacy dogs may well snap she doesnt meant it its the hormones

hi bonnylee, she's now 26 days, she didnt touch any thing yesterday and the same today so hopfully its just a faze. i will try the cooked chicken and see if that works if not we will be off to the vets thanks Adverts Currently On Preloved - Place an ad here for free
hi dee, funny you say 'barrel' thats what shes beginning to look like bless her! Rio has always been a really layed back dog really sloppy i brought her home at 10 weeks when my daughter was 1 and half so rio's grown up with millie pulling her about.

It is not easy to guess at this early stage, be patient and in a couple of weeks it will be obvious as the pups get bigger inside her. She is not even half way into her pregnancy yet, it takes about 63 days, some bitches whelp earlier than this though so be prepared from the 58th day onwards. Try feeding her 2 small meals a day instead of one big one, try and get her to eat some of the complete biscuits meals as well, as this does have all the essential vitamins and minerals etc.

You can try mixing a bit of something tasty in her meal, try putting what she does like mixed in with it, so she eats it readily. Did you try her on chicken or tripe, if she likes that then put it in her complete meal. As the puppies grow she will get hungrier, so keep to feeding her twice daily, won't hurt. Give her what she fancies for a bit! All the best. Lee
ive been given her puppy meat with her biscuits and she has been eating it. when i brought rio as a pup the breeder was feeding her tripe. where would i get tripe from? ok i will keep feeding her twice a day as she get further into her pregnacy will she need to be fed more or will twice be enough.
