I've just joined today, I also make reborn dolls and I just love this

Thanks, glad you like them, they were a nightmare to root
with having such big heads and the girl having long hair lol

ebay is your best bet hun...so many to choose from..find a kit you like and then enter it into ebay and see one reborned...or have a bash yourself..i have been reborning for a year now...lol funny most on here are carers as i am for my daughter who is handicapped...its nice to have some me time and do this hobby..here is my latest baby bonnie..just in the middle of rooting her...big head....its a great hobby so i would try it for yourself..its not as hard as it looks honestly ali x

The best thing to do to start is to buy a cd about reborning. I have been successfully reborning for 2 years now and learnt from a cd.

i agree there! i had one cd followed the basic steps then played around with ideas of my own to get the look i wanted to achieve...am still learning as i go along as strive to get the next baby better than the last..with each and every baby things work differently on the different vinyls..all trial and error really...good to start with a cheap kit and practice then buy the expensive ones when you are more confident ali x

high,i start with light brown then build up to darker shades over a 2 months waiting for two days for each layer to ripe as i call it,before i add the last shade believe it or not i sponge gentle wash all over then dry let settle for hour then add last darkest shade,See pic hope you agree this vintage doll turned out fine a sold for £200 to an American who loved it,IF ANY ONE INTERESTED IN SEEING TINY REBORN SHOP IN TAMWORTH ONE JUST ABOUT TO OPEN IN DECEMBER SMALL BUT NICE.X

There is a great shop in Leeds, in an arcade off Briggate, (don't know name of arcade,sorry). The arcade is further up Briggate than Marks and Spencers but on the same side, the shop is on the right in the arcade and I have never seen as many reborn dolls! And they are a lot cheaper than on E Bay plus you can see what you are buying. I was in there just before Xmas and another customer was looking for a doll for her 90 year old mother who had said that was what she wanted for Christmas!!! There is also a shop in York, at the bottom of Goodramgate turn left and it is there on the left hand side. They also have a good selection.
