Hi.

My advice would be not to buy a mobile home in France.

If you decide to do so then check very thoroughly the policy for the resale of the mobile home.

I know of at least three sites who are refusing to allow owners to sell their van unless they eigher sell to the site at a great loss or sell on the condition the van is removed from the site.

Beware, you could like us loose a lot of money.

Hi.

Pylon, located near Biot Gare south of france.
L,Eden, located near Biot village south of france.

Both the above sites now insist that you sell only to them at a price they dictate.

Le Sourire, located near Villeneuve Loubet south of france.

Will only let you sell to someone who is willing to remove from site.

See topic French campsite manager further down page.

I have friends on the L,Eden site who are very worried by the NEW rules being applied to them without any consultation or chance to object.

Beleive it or not they are actualy now being told that any mushrooms growing on their plot are the property of the site and must be handed in.

Hi, was really interested in Le Pylone because of its accessibility to the airport and I thought this was a 12 month site, correct me if I am wrong, or do you know of a site nearer Nice that has 12 months occupancy or will let owners in out of season.

Many thanks,

Jill

Let us be reasonable, your advice not to buy a caravan in France, based on your findings is understandable perhaps but is not fair to park owners like myself.Who incidentally left the UK because of the practice to which you refer,I operated a number of large UK parks and bought one here in France...
My advice is BUY IN FRANCE<and buy soon, property and caravans are rapidly gaining value ,the secret is find the right park. Not necessarily mine, but the right one. Some of us are perfectly human and can advocate the positives for buying in France!
My caravan park development is on-going and fair.

Hi Tony.

Your quite right I was not being fair, I was very angry when I posted the comment.

France is a beautiful country and my own experience should not put people off, but, you must do your own research when looking for a site, talk to people who already have mobile homes on the site you are considering.

I appreciate your reply, and no need to aplogise, like everything we are all very different, including some of us park owners...

All jokes aside ,it is a big investment for any caravan purchaser and recent media coverage of some of the UK practices makes me feel very happy to operate an open and fair policy in this very pleasant country.

I support what you say, please buyers, check thoroughly first..

Hi.

I have a mobile home for sale near Villeneuve Loubet, about ten miles from Nice.

Under new site rules it has to be moved off site if I sell.

I already have an offer of 9,000 euros from a french guy but he is continualy messing me about.

It is a BK Bluebird Carnival 34' x 10' with one double and two twin bedrooms, large lounge, galley kitchen and bathroom with shower. I'm not sure of the age but think it is between ten and twelve years.
It is in very good condition and I can email photographs if required.

Pete.
