Berlingo heating controls/ Screen misting

Berlingo heating controls/ Screen misting

I have just acquired a 2000 year Berlingo Diesel Van. I am very pleased with it so far except for the fact that the Fan switch is very stiff and feels like it is about to break, although it is still working, and I cannot stop the screen misting up no matter where I aim the hot air. It almost feels as though maybe a pipe has come off and no air gets to the screen. Any ideas out there?
