high revs on mk3 mondeo

my brother has got a 02 1800 mondeo when he starts the car the revs are very high and the is no way of adjusting it has any one got any ideas thanks [Log in to view email]

sorry mate tried to use your email option i just can't use it ,but as for your problem with the car it sounds like either the valve flap in the inlet manifold or the idle speed control valve regards ady

changed the speed control valve and the air flow censor still the same had the AA out twice fist he said speed censor he bought a new one no good second AA man said after 3 hours said all was ok he disconnected the speed censor as you know the is no adjustment on the tick over he put a nut on it and it run perfect he said the fault was with the ecu unit if that was so i think he would have had more problems as every thing else works any got any ideas. eddie.
