Right thinking of picking up a seirra on a, A frame taking it to my dads driveway. Driving it on to little ramps. Then using an angle grinder to remove exhaust and remove mid and rear section. Seperate mid and rear so I can get them home.

Remove column plastic and hazard switch unit from both and fit scrapper to mine. Turn car round so rear is raised, remove prop shaft ? help how? cut it off ?

then angle grind the drive shafts, followed by unbolting the rear diff or angle grinding it free from chassis.?? what do you recon ?

next up remove carb ect from scrapper and mine and fit scrapper to mine, followed by quick tune up.

then to remove the car from the ramps and drain all fluids.

remove side and rear windows including door mirrors and drivers side handles. These are for spares and need a part to fix my door handle.

remove harnesses and front seats to flog on the bay.

remove battery to keep as back up.

? someone mayby removing the engine i said £40.

put it back on A frame and weight it in.

So some questions their, anyone else got any suggestions ?.

your a loving guy with an angle grinder bas... lol.

I dont think you will get to the prop bolts with a angle grinder, easier to put car on axle stands then undo bolts the normal way, you can just turn the prop round to get to them than havin to keep jackin car up to turn the prop.

Depending how rusted the exhaust is undo the middle clamp and try moving them in the sleeve and separating, slicing the exhaust in half makes its useless really.

Why not just leave the half shafts intact and just drop the diff.

What flog the engine on ebay? Ya could do, though if you can make a video of it running before its removal, then if any one is interested you can send them the video to show its a good runner.

ta man. lol Id USE OXY-SETTLING torch if I had one.

I meant angle grind from inside car, to drop the rear diff.

Thanks for saying I need to undo prop bolts. didnt have a clue.
so really I need to get both wheels of the ground to do this as its welded diff.

A woman sending her machanic to remove engine but only if we tie up on same day. If He takes it ill be abot £25 better of than haveing engine in it at weigh in.

with exhaust was going to cut it just before mid section,on down pipe. I dont like working up side down with spanners lol. need a car tilter I did debate removeing fluids and windows then rolling on its side or roof to remove under side parts. Would certainly get peoples attention in the street I think though although would make a great u tube video.

well if your takin the engine out then wait till after to take the prop off, no need to get both wheels off the ground then as the gearbox will free running.

Dont think you can drop the rear axle from insde the car, yeah you can grind off the shock nuts but then you will have to get underneath to grind off the bolts holdin the axle up i think.

Ive never really worked on RWD CARS lol. As regards to gring from inside I meant the whole area that the bolts go into just take out a chunk of chassis. Engine out is not garenteed. Think Im gonna remove windows liquids and bits and roll it over just for the fun of it lol.

I like btcc but I havent really watched it for years. my fav was the 850 estate turbo. If I could afford insurance I have one for a year. the rs500 was a good car in the day but arnt value for money these days, but do hold value well even on the up. What I mean is you can get more bhp/ton for your money

ive only been in one what i call a serious accident, years a go i was a rear seat passenger in old mini, we were taking it to a car auction coz it was a heap, anyway we got about halfway, when this idiot pulled out from the right, my mate had know where to go, at the last second decided to try and make it into an entrance of a field, but we didn't make it, we hit the end of the wall, protected by an RSJ for the gate to hang on, nobody had seat belts on, but we walked away with minor injuries, i had a broken wrist, and one of my mates in the front passenger seat had a nasty cut to the lip, from the lip of the windscreen, from what i remember we were doing about 40mph, good job my mate was insured
