these cars were very heavilly discounted when new and this is refelcted in their re sale price. Just looked at auto trader on line and there are several X reg 1.6 cars with millages ranging from 50 to 75 k and various spec all retailing for 12 - 1500 from dealers, so their buy in price would probably be around 7-800 giving them a profit margin. I'm not in the trade so don't quote me on these figs, but I would be interested to know if I'm in the right ball park. Al Al
