i keep getting a creeking noise from the rear wheels.have now taken calipers off after finding them to be at an angle due to corrosion build up between caliper and radius arm, cleaned surfaces and put back with new pads and shims.nice and quiet so i thought untill 120miles and the creek is back.i have had several attempts at trying to solve this and seem to succeed but only for a few days or so then im back to square one. any help out there.

it hasnt progressed enough, the bushes will probably just be dry and slightly worn.do your rear tyres wear a bit uneven? the wet weather stopping the creak is normal and i cannot answer why maybe it acts as lubrication.it wont crack when going up and down as the force applied is straight up and down they are not under that much stress but when car is moving there is a lot more stress on them.

it may be worth trying to get some wd40 into the bushes it may stop the noise but eventually they will req replacing.

rear washers that Ian has mentioned are possible but this was to cure a knocking and was a recall on c5I to check if it has been done already lift carpet in boot if it has black sound deadening it has been done already, as it was all done together replace counter wieghts and fit sound deadening
