In relation to my previous post i need to find out the correct type of oil to put into my gearbox, as i will loose some when i remove the driveshafts.

A haynes manual says it should take 75-90 gear oil and ive been on the castrol website and it reccomends Castrol Manual SMX-S Gear oil.

What is the correct type of oil and is there much of a difference between the two listed above.

Many Thanks

Nick

the castrol you mention is a full synthetic and will do the job fine but is very expensive, a good quality 75-90w gearbox oil would be fine in my opinion
