Hi Hubby took van 1.9 diesel out put the right fuel in it, cam home van left for a few hours, went to re-start and just keeps turning over will not fire up! any idea's he is trying to change the heater plugs at the mo... as they needed doing... but still will not start!!!! I understand that there is a fuel filter near the fuel tank, if you take it off... does all the diesel just run out? he has pressed the primer thingy and you can see fuel being pumped into the engine....if there was a prob with the filter, would you get fuel in the engine bay? any idea's as he is about to throw his toys out of the pram ;(

filter is in the engine bay. you sure he didnt put petrol in. smell the filler neck.

Hubby fitted new glow plugs........... turned key and hey presto it burst into life :) but took him hours to do as he did not have the proper tools LOL!
