i have a 2001 Mk 3 Mondeo zetec TDDi and have noticed the car shakes when accelerating. it seems fine cruising or only ligtly accelerating but if you accelerate at a normal rate the whole car seems to shake. i also cant say that i have really noticed it doing this in 1st or 2nd gears. the shaking is quite bad, although is sometimes worse than others. the steering does not shake when this is happening, but the rest of the car does. can anyone give me any idea of what is causing this? its really frustrating me

as it happenes at speed heres a couple of thoughts.
clutch judder, rear wheel issue.

ime with bas on the rear wheels point have you really checked them for damage , bulges, out of round ,twisted not forgetting correct pressure

just had a thought, do these have traction control like the later mk2's, if this had a fault would it give this symptom,
