just wondering if anyone else has had the problems i am having i bought the car brand new on a 07 plate and so far it has been in the garage three times first time it was the ecu and the wiring room after about 5 month oldit was in the garage for just under a month lucky it was under warranty then a temperture sensor went which was also replaced under warranty and last thursday used car got home locked it went back to use it again the doors would not open with fob so i used key first thought was battery in fob so put key in ignition nothing took keys out went to go in house noticed the wipers were going the light were on and off windows were going up and down with no ignition it was like the thing was possesed called rac the tried to reboot the ecu but failed it was towed to citreon and so far they cant find the problem. which i think is bad for a less than 2yr old car with 25,000 i will keep you posted of any developments but i would never buy another one so be warned anyone considering these i am luck it is still under warranty.

windows, locking, lights etc are all controled by the bsi. they need to be checking the multi plugs for corrosion or poss water ingress. the harness will have been changed due to the temp sensor failing and becoming porous and letting coolant pass through it and up into the harness and then it could travel anywhere. i think this will be the cause of all your problems. the temp sensor should have been changed when the harness was changed. psf1(engine bay fuse box), engine ecu and bsi multi plugs all need to be checked for corosion.

yes ian i have just had the bsi comfirmed by citreon just waiting for them to get the part still not happy with the amount of time the thing spends in the garage for a 2yr old car with 25,000 on the clock

hi

with all these problems, suggest you take out an extended waranty cover before the current one expires!

there is one thing that is becoming common on c4pic for various electrical fault,is wiring harness below battery tray running along top of gearbox chaffing usually affects electric handbrake and abs esp but there have been times when it has chaffed can wires causing some very random faults.just an idea but free to look

i have now got the c4 picasso back from the dealer it turned out to be the bsi and wiring harness both at fault they had to put three bsi in because the first two were shorting out due to a fault in the harness
very bad design i think
just glad i was not paying for it must be costing citreon a mint on warranty claims
