Scorpio 2.5Tdi starting issue
Messages 1 to 4 of 4.
If turned off and re-started when not fully warmed up it does start a bit easier, not perfectly though. If it is fully warmed i.e. after a run of more than 10 miles, and it is turned off it will not re-start. It spins over fine but doesn't fire!!!! really annoyinig as the car would be spot on if only I could get it to start properly. So far I've cleaned the injectors (with injector cleaner) this does seem to have made it run a little better but has not affected the starting issue. I've changed the fuel filter and checked for leaks of which there were only leaks on the leak back pipes which I have now replaced. I've checked all the terminals for the sensors I can find and none of them are corroded and all seem to be ok. I've chenged the battery as it does start a little easier when it is being jump started - this I have now put down to the fact that it spins faster from the higher voltage available from the two batteries (and the fact that the jump car is running so putting out a slightly higher voltage anyway... Any help or ideas would be greatfully received. Cheers
