I am looking at buying my first citreon.

I'm looking at a C5 1.6 HDi.

Do these engines have a timing belt or are these chain driven? and do they need replacing at certain intervals?

suggest you GOOGLE C5 and read the reviews !

yes cam belt and yes need changing reg along with pulys and tensioners etc, again - look up on GOOGLE !

Very economical though, my neighbours have this engine in their new C4 Picasso, and say its better than their old shape Picasso 2.0hDI
and they also use it to tow a small caravan.
