Hi can anyone advise. I have a 1994 ford escort LX and the flashing indicators only started working on one side. the other just made a very fast clicking noise but no visible lights outside. I removed the small black box from under the steering wheel checked contacts them reinserted. Now no flashers no sound and no warning indicaters. have changed fuse but still nothing. Can anyone offer any help please?.

was the black box about 1inch square with four pins ?

if you have no hazard flashers as well, its a 99% its the relay as bas said

i think im right in saying that you will find it on the fuse board/box, you will find this just by your right knee, behind the dash, between the steering column and the drivers door, there is a panel that you remove, then a screw or clip, remove that and the fuse box drops downtommy

bought complete indicator storks as there was only one screw holding it in place and obtained cheap from scrap yard. works a treat.

Hi fred have just seen you add asking for advice . on escrts of that year and around the fuse boxes suffer from bad internal connectionsit is quite easy to remove and repair just needs a few joints resoldering.
