what is the standard size tyres ? are these tyres to go on standard rims with standard suspension set up ? 75 profile seems to be an odd size in my opion

I dont see it will cause a problem in a straight line and should be ok on full lock. but thats where scrubbing could occure. I would strongly advise agaist these being fitted. Heres some data you should look at:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
205/50-16 4.0in 12.0in 24.1in 75.6in 838 0.0%
205/75-16 6.1in 14.1in 28.1in 88.3in 718 16.8%

The speedoe and mile ometer will be well out and not to be relied apon. Handleing will suffer and the engine will be under more strain on acceleration. This could also have adverse effects on ABS system

hi bigted and bas,
it might be different on the mk3, but my mk2 zetec has standard 205/50/16's they are ok going in a straight line and on full lock, but doing more than a 1/3 lock in reverse the edge of the tyre rubs the mudflap, but it might depend on the tyres, Ive just put Continentals on the front, brill tyre's but they rub when reversing into a parking spot etc, people look at you thinking youve got something major wrong with your car, lol
