you can have it regassed kwikfit usually do it for a cheap price if you have a decent leak the machine will not regass it and there is no charge however if the leak is very small it is likely the machine will gass it then there is a charge, then its money lost its a gamble, to be sure of what's wrong with it take it to an aircon shop one with a good reputation for a quotation the choice is yours

do you mean that you cant hear the blower, may be the blower control switch, or the fuse for, does anything else not work, stupid question here, but do you know how to get the a/c working, it's not just a case of putting it on cold, and the blower on maxtommy

oh, what about when you turn the control switch for the heat, does it feel like it doesn't do anything, it sounds like something isn't working, opening/shutting to stop the hot airtommy

are we talking air con or heating system here? two totally different systems, heater controls only mix with air con when required, turn off the heater and turn on air con if the light is lit the control system is working however the actual system may not, if it is out on low gas then the compressor wil not kick in,there is a way to check you have to short out the low pressure switch this will kick in the compressor if this happens its out on low gas , but it could be a leak and then you need to find where it is.
