Does anyone know if the water pump is run with the timing belt or the auxillary belt?

i cannot see a 1.8 listed ,the 2 litre 16v you take off the power steering pump and then the water pump.
the zetec is not on timing belt run.
same on the cvh.

the only 1.8 listed is diesel endura-de tc or endura-de tci

on the ford t.i.s it does not list an 1800 other than diesel
it covers escorts from 1991-1996

as you can see it's a 1997, im sure it's up there ^^^^^^^
The car does exist lol,

Ford escort 16valve zetec engine, 115bhp, 1.8 0r 1796 si(sequential injection)

All i need to know is the water pump driven by the auxillary belt or the timing belt

hi,a mate has told me that water pump is driven by the cambelt,if your car has aircon then its driven by the aux belt,hope this helps

Hiya, Thanks for all the replies, yeah it's driven by the cambelt, hopefully might not have to remove the cambelt, might be able to get away with it, dunno
