Safe mode

I have a radio and it is saying Safe on it.

How can i get it off safe mode so i can enter the pin number??? I have had it turned on for almost 2 hours on safe ode and nothing happened.

Any help appreciated.

Also I don't have the pin number, can anyone help me with this???

Your radio is showing SAFE because it has had many wrong codes entered previously (possibly more than 10 )

It is a Blaupunkt CAR300 model and what you are going to have to do is press the AS Button plus the ON button...and you should hear a Beep in the speaker.

Now it has to be left SWITCHED ON ...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to reset.

If, as I suspect , it has had more than 10 wrong codes then this waiting time will be nearly 11 hours as the time doubles after each wrong code.

note: it is easier to carry out this task by connecting your radio up to a battery supply + loudspeaker on your workbench.....and leave it switched on overnight
Use a spare battery or a battery charger for the supply.

This procedure does work but you have to have patience !
