Issue with our little van. The last day or two the water light has come on so we have as usual topped it up, put it down to the recent heat.

Today the van started making a noise sort of like a squeaking noise and not dissimilar from the kind of noise you get when its boiling over.

When it did this there was no water coming from the radiator reservoir and again we topped it up and let it run for about 5 mins and all seemed well.

My wife used it this afternoon and she just went approx 10 miles and it started making the noise again, when she got home there was no water in the reservoir again. She told me over the phone that driving home she felt as if something was scraping against the wheel.

The van is a 1997 Citroen C15 diesel
