I am in the midst of repairing a mirror dinghy. I have started to sand off the paint with an orbital sander as I wasn,t sure if nitromorse would affect the plywood. I have noticed that some of the sanding has gone through the tape at the edges of the joints. Would a smear of resin be good enough or is re-taping nessasery? What tape is commonly used? the nearest looking I can find is cricket bat repair tape.
Any tips or places for parts and paint would be most welcome - Cheers - Tom Kitchen
