Don't know of any major faults with these, however check the service history, and if in doubt whether the cam belt has been changed at the appropriate time, you should have it done. These engines are well able to do 200K+. The secret is regular oil changes, and a good oil/filter used.

If this is your first diesel, be aware that you should never let it run out of fuel the pump system does not like to pump air and apart from being a pain to re prime, pumping air will damage the pumps! Also if your worried about possably putting in the wrong fuel then a sticker on the fuel flap or similar place reminding you to use Diesel may be an idea.
