Citroen Xantia loud rattling noise and failed power steering

I wonder if anybody could help me please? My car's engine management light came on about a week ago, but the car was still running as normal, until the other day when the car refused to start, i eventually got the car going but once it had started it was making a loud rattling noise which became even louder also it startid making a loud scraping noise, i went to start my car this miorning and the loud noise was there again but my power steering has now failed, i cant even move the steering wheel, well i can a little bit but its mega mega stiff? Has anyone got any ideas what could be wrong? Cheers Daniel
