i have a vaxhall astra 17td it starts ok you can rev the engine ok but when running there seem to be no kick of power from the turbo, the turbo fan is free and spins ok by hand , there are no holes in any piping, have done a complete service on the car. has anybody an idea what could be causing this problem please

Hi. I got one of these giving me grief too. have you checked the turbo propellor for play from side to side? black smoke is a sign of this too. i just replaced mine and its better. could also be egr valve
