Internals of cat converter decided to come adrift and block exhaust system causing immediate drop in performance and excess back pressure on engine (before I sussed what was going on). Blew a couple of vacuum pipes off (inlet manifold/EGR valve area)and totally trashed servo pipe-Oh s**t... No brakes! New cat fitted, vacuum pipes replaced/reconnected and off we go. Now I find that on light throttle there is an engine judder (hunting rather than a misfire) and revs take longer to drop to tickover when slowing/stopping -car starts up fine, acceleration no prob,cruise@ 60mph+ sweet as a nut, but around town(25-30mph in 3rd/4th gear a right pain). No fault codes showing up on diagnostics. Theres so many electronic solenoids, valves etc. on this emission control system, its unrealistic and not cost effective to change one at a time hoping for a cure. So if anyone's come across this scenario before I would be grateful for your suggestions/diagnosis. same problem as yeti 59

I have managed to "cure" the low speed judder problem by isolating the EGR valve . Block off the vacuum pipe and the connection on the top of EGR valve. Obviously, as Big Tony has suggested, make sure all the other vacuum pipes on, and linked, to the inlet manifold are sound.
