If its the same as a 414 then you need the 4 digit security code and then use the drivers door lock to de activate it,eg,4468 = turn key left 4 times then right four times then six left then eight right.

Is normally in your owners manual on a card with your radio code.Unsure where you would find it otherwise although i know my mate bypassed the immobiliser on a subaru in ten mins by taking a wire off, will find out.

Hi there,Sorry to trouble you with such a controversial topic. I bought a 1998 Rover 100 for £350 10 days ago and already the immobiliser has jammed on. I have tried replacing the fob battery, have read lots of online posts about trying to fix the problem but nothing is working (I don't have an EKA code). I've looked into RemoteKey.co.uk to replace the immobiliser unit but given the value of the car, I just can't justify the cost. I've seen that there is a possibility of permanently disarming the immobiliser by connecting certain wires. I've got as far as removing the unit but unsure which wires to connect. Sorry for the length of this email but I'd be grateful for any tips you may have. I realise the sensitivity of asking how to effectively hotwire my own car so am happy to provide ownership details etc if you need them. I don't have central locking so it is just a case of being able to start the car, and having the peace of mind that it will start again! thanks very much for your help. Missbosschy

There is a black box from several suppliers that does what you want. Check out ebay. Or contact ecuclinic.com they have a device they send out for you to use on your car.
