Siezed Focus Dipstick

He has just tried to check the oil level, but the dipstick is completely jammed in the tube. Has anyone else come across this problem before? As the handle is only plastic, I didn't want to pull it too hard, and the car was beginning to lift, lol. I guess that he may have to detach the dipstick holder and see what's wrong. My guess is that it's been pushed in too hard, and kinked somewhere.
