Weekend Radio interference

My freind lives in the Gravely area of hertfordshire. Every Weekend my freind and their neighbours are suffering from interference all over their FM radios. It's like distorted music and talking with a buzzing noise in the background. Has anyone experience this problem or can anyone advice me what maybe causing this annoying interference.

I have now discovered what causing the weekend radio interference.
Apparently a pirate radio station called perception 102.4 is broadcasting every weekend from an illegal radio transmitter which they have installed at the vodaphone mobile telephone mast in Gravely Lane next to A1 motorway bridge in Gravely. This certainly explains the nature of the interference, I understand that ofcom are not the interested in the matter. I am told that the illegal radio station have a studio in the area which is linked to the phone mast via microwave link.

my fella is a radio ham, he says it sounds like tvi so could be caused by a CB radio user or even a radio ham have a look round for antenna's or "twigs" could be a few about, if it is an AMETURE RADIO (radio ham ) they are lisenced and so there's not much u can do about that

I am sorry to inform you, that it was not TVi or CB or any of the other things you mention. In fact it was a priate radio station called perception 102.4FM. Also I have be informed that they where stealing electrictiy from a mobile phone mast in Gravely lane in Gravely Hertfordshire as I am told. Thankyou for comments on this subject

someone is using an am CB radio which is causing interference, report to Dept of Trading Industry nearest you they send out a van to find signal similar to a TV detector van
