hi im, trying to find timing marks for a ford focus1.8 diesel,w reg, my sons car broke down due to the belt slipping, his dad has renewed the valves but is struggling to tme it up, this car has one belt and one chain on it not the standerd two rubber belts,he has dot,s on the pulleybut none on the housing we know about the 6mm bolt through the pump but this dose not work on this focus, his dad has been a mechanic for over 30 years and this has stumped him please help regards Dee

i havn't sen this engine with a belt or chain so maybee a look by the mechanic at the ford tis you can download it from here

http://www.cannell.co.uk/Manuals.htm its free covers a whole lot of fords very comprensive

theres a timing pin that screws into the block which locates TDC
