HI EVERYBODY, DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAPPEN TO HAVE
PLANS OR KNOW BEST WAY TO ATTACH CAB STEPS ON A
92 TALBOT EXPRESS, I AM HOPING TO MAKE THESE OUT OF
ALUMINIUM CHEQUER PLATE, THANKS BRI

Hi , do you mean driver/passenger door step and are you intending to lower/ widen or is there a non existing step ? Martin .

HI,VOLVOMAN, DRIVER AND PASSENGER STEPS, NON EXISTANT
AT MOMENT, MY WIFES HAD BOTH HIPS REPLACED AND HAS TO GET
IN THROUGH REAR DOOR. THANKS BRI

bri, you don't really want anything fixed sticking out the side of the van (I think the legal limit used to be 2 inches wider than the wheel arches) so I'd go for something like the Omni step (slide out version). Lots of suppliers so Google for it. I have their fold out version at the rear door and its very robust although it doen't look it. You'll probably need fo fabricate your own mounts to strengthen the lower body and attach to the sill/floor but this is not a problem as B&Q sell a selection of useful steel profiles if you don't have any lying around.

There is a Company that advertises in MMM magazine PWS who do cab steps http://www.pwsacc.co.uk I have thought of getting some myself as my missus if finding it harder to lift herself up into the cab.Ray

hi, steve and ray,sorry been so long in reply, had problems with computer.(lot of catching up to do) actually made steps out of
marine ply covered with aluminium chequer plate.just got to make
fixing brackets now!(will make a visit to b&q.have made so they don"t stick out past coachbuilt body. thanks for all advice. bri
