the bonnet cable is loose at the lever how can i open the bonnet from the out side i have a y reg citreon synergie

Had a similar problem on another car. It is possible the cable has not snapped. Two people required one press's down on bonnet to ease load on catch, other is inside car with pliers gripping cable and pulling as if leasing bonnet catch. . If it works lubricate catch with grease. On some cars the outer sheath is clamped (held by screw) near the bonnet catch. Release screw until outer sheath can be move away from bonnet catch, then retighten. Before closing bonnet check action of release lever in car for a slight resistance.

thanx for the advice managede to get it open by using the pliers from the inside
