1.0l corsa not starting completely dead
Messages 1 to 2 of 2.
I have a 2001 Corsa C, a few weeks ago the car wouldnt start, i took it to my mechanic who said it was the starter motor, replaced it and it was fine for a few days then when i was driving the speedo needle went up to 100mph when i was doing about 40mph and was making funny noises. Then a few days later i went to start the car and it was just completley dead, it doesnt even turn over, no noise at all, mechanic said it could be a faulty starter motor so got a new one and fitted it, still nothing, managed to get car started by pushing it, but when i accelerated it did nothing, it went up to about 1300rpm and i had to drive it home at 5mph lol!!! the car starts randomly if it wants to, the rest of the time it is completly dead still not turning over. any ideas?? when the car does start it is making weird noises. help!!!!!! this is driving me crazy!!

advise top up battery fluid levels if can, check connectoin are good to battery and earth to body is good not corroded. give battery good charge then try starting it. if fails to start try jump starting. If you can test battery and alternator for voltage. Another is that their is no or little spark. advise remove one plug and place it to earthing point useing a rubber glove to hold the lead. Get some one to try and start car see if you have spark then smell the plug hole for fuel. Incase its a fuel feed fault. It could be many things elimination is a cheap but time consuming proggress ___________________ Always learning
