One day last week, somebody requested the radio code for his car and by email so like a good samaritan I sent it off. After 3 days and hearing nothing,I sent him an email saying "A word of thanks wouldn't go amiss"Below is the reply I received.

do u fink i sit infront ov my computer all day no i dont jus cum on here and say ya message thanks

After that outburst,I will not be giving out any more codes.I've had
enough of some people's ingratitude.

Luckily Brad, morons like that are still in the minority (just!)
The spelling and grammar say a lot. Don't take it personally, and don't let it change you.

I have stopped going on two forums as I ask a question that would take 5 mins of someones time to help me out bearing in mind ive help some of them out before. I got one reply which was not much help. How hard is it to pop the bonnet on a car, see what im talking about start car, look under bonnet get back in car hit a switch look again under bonnet, Bonnet down lock up car and post reply. Ive done it many a times, I even taken things apart to look and see. I know no longer post except well selling Fck erm.

My current "pet hate" is people who don't say "thanks" when you stop for them at a zebra crossing, and the idiots that run into the road when the lights are already flashing at pedestrian-controlled traffic lights.

Thats debatable pedestrans have right of way. Stick to the high way code. If they do not have a foot on the crossing carry on. at flashing lights rev the engine makes them stop most times lol

I'm speaking about going out of your way to stop for some-one who is just waiting at the kerb. at that point, you are not obligated to stop for them. Re:Pedestrian- controlled lights, the highway code tells pedestrians not to start to cross once the lights are flashing. They are allowed to continue to cross if they are already in the road when they start to flash. It's a common mistake to think that you can continue crossing on a flashing light. I saw a woman and her child almost get killed because of this. she ran into the road without even looking at the traffic, and then started screaming at the drivers. Pedestrians seem to think they can do anything they like nowadays. there is no such thing as right of way, only priority. same as there is no fast lane, only overtaking lanes. Rant over!

i have a similar thing about zebra/pelican crossings, your driving along a road, you know that the crossing is coming up, as you approach you can see someone within a few feet of the crossing, but they seem to just walk up to it and start to cross, no hesitation, no checking to see how safe it is to cross
my other pet hate about pedestrian crossings, is the cyclist, i thought they had to dismount and push the bike/cycle across

Hi Tommy, yeah, don't get me started on cyclists, lol. I drive in central london for a living, and every day I see cyclists do things that I just can't believe.
Wrong way up one-way streets, speeding along pavements etc. Also, I reckon about 5% stop at red lights. Then you get "the finger" if you get in THEIR way, lol.

cyclists and one way streets, our local p/o sorting office is in a one way system, but the posties treat as a two way system/street, or perhaps that's one of the requisites of being a post person, ie not knowing the highway code, lol

Their is only one vehicle that can legally go the wrong way down a one way street. Anyone know what it is ? (I do lol)
I aggree about crossings I always say thanks. As I wait till I see the vehicle approching slowing. When im on my bike I dismount I even dismount at cycle crossings Well When I'm with my son if Im on my own then very rarely use crossings and as long as im safe and not going to cause anyone any inconvinence I ride like a nut. lets face it how oftern do you sit at a red light for up to three mins when you could safely progrss on your way? but you dont because you have a registration plate.

Hi Brad,

Carry on being you, don't change because of some arrogant, twit who has been raised without manners! I've received lots of help on this forum and I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I've been, and I''ve always thanked people who have kindly taken time to try and help me. As somebody else pointed out, his grammar alone, points out that he's obviously an uneducated lout, who will never achieve anything in life! I've had many similar experiences with rude people, but then I just thank my "lucky stars" that I'm not them, not related to them, and I don't know them ............. I immediately feel happier!

Best Wishes

Carol
