i foster kids on and off along with my own 3 kids social servives have put 2 girls with us both are bed wetting each night but the older girl whos 14 keeps takeing the mattress cover off the bed each night and the mattress is getting wet each night and shes hideing her wet sheets in all kinds of places ive talked to there social worker about this and she just said get on with it which is not a great help there mother is caught in a spiral of drug abuse anyway i dont mind the bed wetting as ive talked to both of the girls and told them they will out grow it soon but the older one is still takeing her cover off the bed each night and hideing wet sheets takeing them both to see the doctor today

have you tried the disposable covers for mattress? Used them as my son had a few wet nights after illness, but he did not want a mattress cover as he felt he was a big boy not a baby, he did not know I had put this under his sheet. They can work out expensive but better that than a wet mattress. Hope all goes well, your doing a great job caring for these two girls.

yes i ve tried them bed mats and even asked her if she wants to wear them dry nights pj pants to bed but she just takes them off too iam hopeing my doctor sends them both to the enuresis clinic

went to the doctors today they both gave samples and the doctor put them both on diropan tablets and also going to try bed wetting alarms on them both after talking to her she said she will not remove the plastic sheet anymore and will stop putting the wet sheets in all kind of places like today she had placed them in the boot of my car lol

awww bless them. it must be so hard and confusing for them. ive got 5 kids, 4 of them teenagers. my 14 yr old is the one thats struggling with puberty the most...at the mo, he hates the world ! i dont know what to suggest, although it does sound like uve got it in hand. good luck hun, and well done you :-)

thank you sharon iam sure we get there in the end it dont help with them haveing a relly bad upbring there mum would bring men home of a night and sell herself for drugs

I used change mats under the sheets on my kids beds. They are from pampers i think and are supposed to be like portable change mats. You just chuck em when they have been used. They dont make the kids sweat like the plastic sheets. you sound like you doing a great job and good on you for being so understanding. these kids go through hell you deserve a pat on the back!!

jane i work as a nurse in the nhs @ a bedwetting clinic them pills are great you will find they will have to take them for 4 weeks and then try without them for 2 weeks to see if they are haveing dry beds they stop bladder muscle spasms them pills also dont put them into nappies of a night or they just will carry on wetting as for the plastic covers dont you buy them as your nhs clinic will give you them for free did they take blood test along with wee samples today i read in your post there mum was working on the game did you tell the doctor about this as if they know about this they may want to check the girls over for abuse

thanks all for getting back to me yes lisa i told the doctor about there mum and shes going to get onto the social services to get them both checked over for sexaul abuse iam just hopeing they both have not been

just letting you know both of the girls are doing fine and now shes keeping the plastic sheet on the bed and as stoped hideing the wet sheets

teach her to use the washing machine so when she does take the sheets off there not hiden and if she feels more grown up might help her to help her self. my mum fostered for most of my childhood we had a fue probs like that too

i spoke to my mum (shes an exspert lol. 50 teen girls 3 teen boys and a hadfull of younger children then us 3girls) she says it lazyness because why care about your self if you feel no one cares about you. you wouldnt be worried if you didnt care but she may not belive her good luck

just letting you all know iam so happy both of the girls have stoped there bed wetting and have become dry now thanks to the help of enuresis alarms i got off eric web site if anyone out there needs help on bed wetting look up there web site http://www.eric.org and thank you to all of you your all stars
