Can anyone help identify this sensor
Messages 1 to 2 of 2.
Have a 1994 ZX Aura 1.9TD, constantly ticking over at 850 - 900 rpm.. Checked the haynes manual and intimated could be fast idle thermostatic sensor - when car normal temp (just under half way on gauge??) cable from sensor was still tight - book said probably cream crackered - took out and cleaned and tested in hot/cold water - cable seems to move about 3mil instead of the 6mil in the book - started to trawl through google to get a new one, however, cannot find one listed under 'fast idle sensor' - well I can but it isn't the same as mine.... Mine is about 4" long with a 20/22mil moulded spanner fitment on the top, has a cable running out the top and fits below the fuel filter holder (has anyone got a spare lid from the housing they could sell me as I snapped the connector for the breather hose off the top?) and on to the pivot to the rear of the Bosch carb... Is there another name I should be googling under for this part of another part that would fit? I've just noticed the 'attach a photo' button, i'll give it a go.....
