ford fiesta finesse 1999

hi does anyone no if my car has a hydraulic clutch have been to garage he said it will cost £250. the clutch pedal is very loose and cant get car in gear except reverse and then it makes a loud crunching noise but cant get in to first gear other than that the car just passed its mot this happened the day after any advice welcome

yes your car will have a hydraulic clutch, sounds like it could be leaking

hello. well its difficult for me to say what you will need doing to fix your problem as i havent seen your fiesta. if a garage has looked at it and told you it needs the work doing, then i would go with it. I have replaced many clutches ,slave and master cylinders on these b4 so they do go wrong from time to time. without warning sometimes.

hi thanks for your help as you probably guessed i am a woman know nothing about cars i find this site really helpful wish i was a mechanic lol
