My wife has just bought a 2001 Y reg 1.1 Saxo and after just 1 day of drving it has developed a misfire.
The car has been parked up for a couple months. We took it for a 60 mile round trip today and a few miles from home it had a very mild misfire which only happened every now and then. After a few minutes this turned into a constant misfire throughout the rev range and the engine light came on.
Any ideas what it could be?

could be a spark plug problem or more probably no.4 injector.to test injector remove and check with a multimeter for resistance you should get around 12-14 ohms anymore and replace ps no4 is timing belt end not g/box end as on most vehicles.also if the saxo in question is the one in the pic i feel for you i really do.
