Hi,have a 1998 rover 414s and dont seem to have a engine management light on the dash when i turn on the ignition.Does this model have a warning light?

I have a 1999 414 and when i switch on i have three reds, for Battery Oil and Brakes and the alarm indicator is switched off.
Any other type of indicator i have never had and no garage has ever mentioned it.

they normally only come on when you have a fault, then it needs to go on a diagnostic machine, most good garages have them, but try and stay away from main dealers, due to the hourly rate/fixed charge

The engine management light is only fitted to obd compliant vehicles. Although some manufactures brought this in from 96 I don't think Rover became compliant until after 2002.
