the problem is, it's all about personal choice. The Puma is a bit dated now, but if you could get a good one, it would still be nice. I would rather spend the money on getting the best one, rather than spraying it etc. The Audis would both be good, again it's your choice as to which one you prefer. The A3 would be much better on fuel of course, and the TT would have more style and a sense of occasion.
If you got a Cooper, the consumption shouldn't be too bad, it would depend on how it's driven, of course. The "s" model is quite thirsty, I believe, but it's supercharged.
Not sure about the Z3, some regard it as a bit "girlie," and it would be fairly expensive to run.

You might have bought a car by now,I got a Z3 in Jan. this year a 1999 red 2.8 and I think its great car I only use it weekends and I am lucky to have a place to keep it during the week. I paid £3800 for it and its only done 64k its in good condition and the engine is smooth as silk I love them straight 6 engines it had 6 months test when I bought it and just needed the headlights ajusting when I took it in for the test,I have not bought anything major for it yet,I put a set of rear brake pads in they were about £18 and I asked the price for discs and I was suprised at the price £19 +vat each, the car has electric seats, mirrors and hood, the only fault with mine is the rear window which is foggy and needs replacing I would think this is the original window so at 10 years its not bad I think you can get them for around £120 I only checked the MPG once from fill up to fill up and it was 32 so I think that was good for normal driving you only need 1/2 revs, but if you get to the top of the rev range you better hang on,your really moving,I always thought a sports car would be too low down, but trips in the country with the top down are something you have to do to know what its like, nearly like being on a fast motorbike. The car is very comphy, easy to drive, and gives lots of fun.
