my monkey baby
Messages 1 to 20 of 21.
i dont have anything against people who keep monkeys i had a marmoset myself as most of you know and yes he was my baby, and i loved n adored him as though he was my son but he was treated as a marmoset. he didnt wear nappies clothes ect and if i had ever put make up on the little guy id damn right be expecting a knock from animal rescue... there was one man with the monkey on his shoulder with a fag in his mouth and driving a petrol lawn-mower. some people just dont think of the health and safety of their animals.
It really bothers me that people treat animals like that... I was watching a program were a woman fed her rottweiler a couple of packets of maltesers a night. Poor thing was over-weight. Didn't help that she wouldn't walk the poor thing either cos he was too strong for her. I can't understand why people dress animals either..

If you watch it, its all about women who have lost their kids due to various reasons and they want a permanent baby-replacement. Very similar to some of the ladies who were on the "fake baby" programme. Very sad situations, but im sure that treating an animals as if its a person/baby forever is not right. As you say Becky, you did a lot of research, kept him in as natural circumstances as you could etc and nothing wrong with that. That poor little 2wk old one though, very young! ___________________ Love me..Love my animals! :-p
it wasnt the fact they were treating them as humans, i mean yeh you can love them as babies but you shouldnt treat them as babies but i think it was more how you say tabby they were all around her house on chains and the capuchins were climbing all over the marmies cage which must have been terrifying for the marmies, i thought it was a good idea about the school talks too but it wasnt what i thought it was. i took kenzo to the kids school once and can honestly say it was nothing like that. he came in on my shoulder, i just spoke a little about what it was like living with monkeys, they asked alot of questions, i asked them a question and then a few kids got a little cuddle but it was all done in the best intrest of kenzo. he was very sociable and he wasnt forced into saying hello, they got a stroke if he chose to go say hi to them, i agreed to it because i thought it was a good idea for them to be educated on different animals and its not everyday a monkey goes to school lol. but that deffo wasnt what i thought it was. that was like an animal circus :o( the 2week old baby was mortified and its poor momma was hysterical. when they were putting that nappy on it was freaking out so much and they just grabbed it by its tail pinned it down n said she has to get used to this :o( very sad

dogs cats and horses yes as they can be given a fullfilling life and enjoy the company of humans generally ,but wild animals should be left in the wild. i saw the rotweiller one, it was on britains worst pets. talk about have the wrong breed of dog. why get a rotty in the first place if your not strong enough to walk it? and an animal cops one with an adult chimp kept in squalid conditions, in a cage littered with coke cans and if i remember rightly made to smoke fags. he was in very poor health due to his terrible lack of proper nutrition. personally i would like to see it made illegal to own any monkeys, lions and tigers, and large reptiles as there is no way these animals can be given a proper quality of life. on animal cops they said that there were more lions and tigers in private collections in one state of america than in the wild. if these people love these animals so much they should dedicate thier life to ensuring they still have a natural habitat to exist in instead of putting them in a cage as a living ornament, or degrading them by dressing them up. it makes my blood boil.
i take it you have a dwa to be abe to own such amazing animals... i miss my kenzo sooo much. heres a pic. id love to see your babies :o)
I've said it before and I will say it again, what makes humans think they are more superior to other species, the planet doesn't belong solely to selfish humans it belongs to the animals too and now many species of animal are becoming extinct in the wild all for the sake of the selfish humans. ___________________ In the eyes of a well loved Dog, life is just perfect. These ones may have been bred in captivity (nice word that!) but the original monkeys must have been taken from the wild. I saw the rottweiller program too, it was judges Britains worst pet! It should have been Britains stupidest dog owner!! Ive just lost my 13 yr old rotti and theyre beautiful, well bahaved, affectionate, SOFT AS ANYTHING and people like her give the breed a bad name! Grrrrr!!! ___________________ Please feel free to email me....or find me on facebook!

to love and care for an animal is not all that is essential. humans need to stop collecting trophies now and start comming together on mass, to rebuild the wild so that it still exists for our children to marvel at. i find it distressing enough seeing a hamster in a cage. i dread to imagine how i would feel if i saw a monkey dressed up. sat in a living room. loosing a child is one of the worst things that can happen to anyone, but you cant plug the grief by getting a monkey. how awful for it to feel that energy of, your not the real thing but youl do
