Anyone Like Cruising?

I went on my first cruise of the eastern caribbean in Jan 09, with NCL i was so impressed that when i came ho,e i book again for the western side in jan 2010. Im like a kid with a new toy im so excited. Pam
Any tips about how to get the best deals? Should we book a year ahead? Or can we snatch bargains by leaving it last minute? Thanks in advance for sharing.
I am off on my 25th cruise in 6 weeks to the Canaries on P&O's Oriana. I prefer to cruise from this country as flying is a poor start to your holiday, with delays, security etc. I think that the 2 best from my point of view are P&O and Fred Olson. Thomsons is also really good but they don't sail from the UK now. But everyone has their own favorite shipping line. Really when you compare you are just nitpicking, because they are all fabulous holidays. But there is always an exception and that is the German company (Transocean tours) that runs Marco Polo. Just a point you may be interested in, Transocean are no more. The Marco Polo is now being operated by Cruise and Maritime Voyages along with the former Cunard Countess, now renamed Ocean Countess. You will find that Cruise and Maritime only appear to act as agents for Transocean. They did the same 2 seasons ago with Arielle, the old Airtours Carousel. When you actually book, the paper work comes from Transocean. I went to the Baltic on Arielle, and as I say "never again". You could not get a cup of tea, apart from mealtimes, unless you paid £1.50. The crew were really nice, it was the officers that were the problem, I was disgusted at the way they spoke to and treated the staff. Anyway, good luck with your website and I will spread the word. I really like your website and it's easy to navigate, and you have some last minute bargains at really competative prices. It's a pity I'm all booked up for this year, but I will be looking on your site for a couple of cruises in 2010. In May I went on Braemar, for the second time, down to the Med and had a fabulous time. The difference now that the ship has been elongated is brilliant, especially the top pool/sun deck. The staff on Braemar are better than any other ship I have been on, a really happy ship. It just shows what good officers add to the overall feel of a ship. Can't wait to go on it again.
