I have a 1.4 Roland Garros.

When going around right hand bends under acceleration (hard or soft) there is a knocking noise coming from, what sounds like the passengers side front wheel area.

Any ideas what it could be because i've tried a couple of things to no avail.

Could be the lower ball joint, the suspension control rods, the steering rack, the track rods, the suspension bushes, the CV joints...................or it could be badly fitted mud flaps.

The only way to tell what it might be is to jack the car up (support it on axle stands) and go around trying to shake or move all of the suspension, steering and drive components until you hear the knocking. Sometimes it's only when it the problem gets very bad that you find out what it is because you simply can't apply the same type of force that the car encounters on the road. Check the rubber seals around all the ball joints and the suspension bushes for cracking or deterioration.

Lastly can you 'feel' the knocking along the steering column? If you can then you can normally narrow your search down to the steering system.
