Hi i am thinking of buying my first caravan as it seems a bargin. Its seems perfect but very old - 1984!! There are no obvious signs of damp. If i decide to buy it does anybody know how many years i can expect from it considering its good condition?

I was also interested in preventing leaks? Would it be worth while treating all the joints with silicone or another product to ensure many more damp free years? If so can anybody recommend a product?
