Vauxhall Astra Mk3 Fuel Leak

It goes into a round metal disc (fuel filter I think) about inch and a half across at one end and the other end connects to the solid pipes coming from under the car. What I would like to know is how the hell do you get the pipe off ? It doesnt have Jubilee clips like I would expect and as yet I have been unable to figure it out, any help would be much appreciated.
