Ford Transit starting problem

Ford Transit starting problem

My brothers Transit R Reg 1998 non turbo has suffered a wierd problem, It was running fine then it will not start there was a clicking from behind the n/s of the dash board now there is nothing we get ignition lights but nothing else,

We have had the RAC out today who have said its the immobiliser,

So the question is can i bypass it or remove it?
If so how?
