hi, we have a 1999 sterling eccles coral and before that we had a sterling europa,,, i have noticed that at windy spells they both made a whistling sound which i assume is coming from the awning rails.

is this common on all vans or is it a problem with sterling only as i was parked beside our friends 1998 swift challenger and it did not seem to make any sound.

is there anything i can do to reduce the noise as it does not need to be all that windy for it to be annoying.

thanks

You could try putting a filler strip in the awning rail, or even putting gaffer tape over it as a short term test.

i had seen filler strip and wondered if that would help. i may just try the tape idea first to see.
i guess i was really hoping to find out if it WAS the awning rail and if anyone had sorted it for good.
i am starting to think that i am the only one with this problem as it had so little response.

thanks for the tip though
