have a look in Daltons weekly for French gites and villas. I have rented villas in USA Germany and various Spanish and Greek islands and found most of them by trawling the net etc. Its a long way down to S/France so you will probably also need to stop over night en route, as the driving at night isnt bad if your used to driving on the right, but map reading and seeing the sign posts in the dark (French roads are not generally lit up outside of big cities) may prove very difficult. I did this trip in an old Morris with a trailer tent (top speed 50) and 2 days from Calais to the St Remy Camp sight was comfortably achieved with time to set up and a swim before evening meal. Al
