Hi guys sorry about my bad spelling , got a problem with my 1992 320 autoquest cutting out when on a run ,someone said it may be the carb ,are these easy to pick up ,cheers guys , before i forget i hope all of you are doing ok and taking advantage of the good weather , take care and happy motorhoming

Hi Padster,Refurb kits for the carb are easy to come by at around £50 from the carburettor hospital. A new carb (if you can get one!) is likely to be £200+. However, before splashing the cash, a bit more info might be useful!
What do you mean by 'on a run'? Does it splutter before cutting out, or just die? How often does it happen? Etc, etc...

Hi mr dutch , cheers for the reply , if i go out and start her up its not a problem , i drove to bath the last time thats 12 miles from where i live all was ok , on the way back it must have cut out 15 times or more , seems to happen when the revs are low , like when im slowing down coming to traffic lights, i am not at all clever when it comes to engines , mind you i am slowly learning lol , thing is i love my old talbot and want her to be running in tip top shape.

Hi mate , sorry for delay snowed under at work , the carb has been sorted out but thanks a lot for your help , got a new problem now lol ,im trying to find out where the relay is for theradiator switch , these things are sent to try us take care mate and thanks again for your help

there was a carb on fleabay the other day starting at £20, not sure if it's still on, but not sure which carb it was.
