My first was a home birth without pain relief, it was a stressful birth but i was only 19 and it was a bit of a shock - she nearly arrived while i was on the toilet!! lol
My 2nd was a waterbirth at hospital and although i loved the birth - it was very easy, didnt tear at all (i was terrified of that, i tore very badly with my first..) and i'd thoroughly recommend it. I hated staying in hospital though, and i found the afterpains worse than the contractions last time! Do they get worse???
Am planning on anther waterbirth if i can, the actual giving birth part was brilliant. Baby was supported by the water and put no pressure on my body at all. I soo hope im allowed another one!

Yes Nobby i found my afterpains were worse after josh! :(
I tend to bleed really heavily after having my babys so i think that puts me off a home birth! , How the hell would u keep everywhere clean etc etc, It baffles me , although i know what u mean, it must be lovely to be in ur home with all ur things etc straight after!
I am really gonna look into all the options this time!
xxxx
Wow punky tina, ur very lucky! lol Lets hope i get a 6lber this time then eh!! lol

I never even had any option for my deliverys.. all my 5 were c sections, so it was hospital for me each time... Should have asked for a home section haha would have scrubbed my kitchen table for them :)

my daughter was 7.8lbs and then my son was 5.6lb so i really don't believe the hype in babies getting bigger each time amd my bump was so big during pregnancy a nurse thought i had a baby hiding and was having twins yet he came out needing premature clothes. lol. good luck

Hi my home birth was fantastic!! I had no restrictions but could still be monitored without being strapped up lol!!

My 2nd son was born ok but i had a retained placenta and had to have an op to have it removed. I couldn't feel from my boobs down and had to rely on a women next to me (just had her 3rd) to pass baby to me and put him in bed change him etc as nobody else there to help!
At home i had my partner and mum there to help me! i ended up with 5 midwifes too! homebirths are rare here i think! I was known as homebirth lady pmsl.
Yes i found out the sex of all mine i hate not knowing if i can buy pink or blue!!!
hoping for pink this time !!!!!!!!!!!!!! wont find out till new year grrrrr xx

Ewww mine is slowing down but i have bad days when i still do nothing but puke, and the tiredness - argh!! - It waves over me for absolutely no reason at random times of the day! I am STILL waiting for the "blooming beautiful" bit when you glow and look fabulous...!! lol
Congrats on ur girl Vicky. I think mine is a girl too..but will wait and see at our scan in November. Went to see midwife today and listened to the heartbeat for the first time - i left feeling like i was walking on air, it was lovely to hear. :o)
I also had family around me when i gave birth. My dad and little sister were downstairs and mum and hubby were with me in my bedroom. The midwife brought rubber sheets etc with her and i can honestly say it caused no damage at all to my mattress. (i did have a placenta in a bucket in the bath until she left though, and that was a bit shocking to find!! lol)
The only downside was no pain relief, and no doctor in case of emergency. I was very lucky though, one midwife who respected my wishes completely and no complications.

I'm same with tiredness i wake up feel sick then wanna sleep it like i not slept the night before!
I had pethadine brought and could of had gas and air (yuck).
I never had jab to help with delivering placenta though coz of problems last time and only had 30 mins to do it in or it was blues n twos to hospital. I delivered in 29 pmsl!
it was such a fab experiance having him at home i have no worries about this one at home!
I'm huge already and in maternity clothes and only 7 week so if it twins i can't have em at home!
just hope it not a big baby too lol

yeah still having problems and its really hard to deal with. She ended up hurting my dog during a temper tantrum last night, and im so disappointed coz shes been raised to know MUCH better. Hes from an abused background anyway, so she knows his problems. I was more disappointed with that than when she turned on me! lol I Love my doggy. :o(
It always happens when hubbys at work - by the time hes home i have usually got her to bed and out of the way and i just cldnt deal with it if he walked through the door and made more of an issue when telling her off. I just want a quiet life!! lol
Bought my first set of maternity jeans last week. Am getting big now!

Hey hun, i can totally sympathise with u and understand ur trying to cope with it on your own but, ur not wonderwomen hunni! lol We all need to let sum1 else step in sometimes! :) Why not try talking to u husband and getting him 2 sit and have a proper "grown up" talk with ur daughter? If that didnt work im afraid id have to make it that my hubby clamped down big time on her! Does she not have her tv or computer taken if she kicks off?? I know she is a teen but if she wants to act like a kid then tell her u will treat her like 1!? xxxx good luck xxxx
