My 1st son was 7lb 9. (3 days in labour!) 2nd son was 7lb 4. (2 days in labour) 3rd son 6lb 15. (felt like forever!!!) Daughter 8lb 1 oz. (Hospital sent me home as was not in labour according to them, got home and waters broke so headed back to the hospital, contractions 3 mins apart. STILL NOT in labour they said, 15mins and two pushes later there she was! Not bad for someone who wasn't in labour!!!) Out of them all my daughter was the quickest and easiest to deliver, my 6lb 15oz son was the hardest. So maybe there is truth in the saying that bigger babies help themselves.

I know! I don't know how some of them keep their jobs when they haven't got a clue,I mean it wasn't as if I hadn't been there before! I knew I was in labour but they wouldn't have it. It was only when I couldn't move off the bed because I could feel the baby's head coming that they took notice! Then the midwife said to me afterwards 'I had a feeling you'd go quick!' Yeah right!

With my 1st i was shouting it hurts too much there's something wrong! i was told your in labour it does hurt!! he was born upside down with his hand up near his face!!!!! 2nd i told midwife i need to push and to break my waters..(they never break on own) she said i can't push till my waters are broke!! ermm didn't i just tell her to brek em?? Another midwife gave me a drip and csught a vien so had blood spurting all over and it was left...then as i had a retained placenta i was left for over 3 hrs even though i could of bled to death! i only have 30 mins at home!!! Got a feeling i having twins this time so can't have em at home......yeah right just watch me lol!!!!

Hi my first born was 8lb 2oz, my second was 7lb 14oz but he was born 3 days early than my first, my 3rd child was 9lb 2oz and my 4th child was 9lb 10oz but he was born a week earlier than all the others docs recon he would of been nearly 11lb. But i must say each birth has been easier and faster i had a natural birth with my 4th and he hurt no where near as much as any of the other 3 who i tried different pain relief we are trying for our 5th and final baby and im expecting at least 11lb and it doesnt bother me at all

Nope no movements - am getting lots of tight belly cramps though. I think my kidney-bead is laying horizontally and keeps pushing its head/back/knee against my belly coz i can actually cradle whatever this lump is, in my hand (and it hurts like hell!! lol) Its about the size of a golfball. Getting a lot of backache too - but the sickness has stopped now. WOOHOO!!! Ur bump pics are brill. You still look fab - i couldnt get into skinny-jeans BEFORE i was pregnant let alone now!! LOL

I weighed 11lbs 4ozs when I was born and my poor mum had me at home with no pain relief and was in bed for six weeks afterwards! Of course they wouldn't let this happen nowadays, they have you out of bed as soon as possible. I was the third baby, my elder siblings weighed 8lb 6 the first, second 9lb 5 and then me. When I had my own babies I was petrified they would be big but my first was breech and delivered naturally and he weighed 7lb 1oz which they told me is big for a breech baby, my second was 8lb 2oz. Regarding midwives, I have a friend who is a midwife and she told me that nowadays if the births are not straightforward they usually opt for a c section, meaning many midwives are not trained like they used to be to cope with anything other than a "normal" birth. She told me that a breech birth is almost always done by c section now. So glad I don't have to go through all this again!!! Time for you youngsters to take over! HA HA!

Ha ha Tanya! I was the same when I first knew I was pregnant, terrified of giving birth, but then I just thought "well it is in there and has to get out somehow" and I was too excited planning for the baby to be scared again. And as the months pass when you get to the last few weeks you are so fed up you just want to get the birth over with. As the old wives tale says, it is the worst pain but the soonest forgotten, and that is very true.

My first daughter was 7lb 4oz , induced two weeks early ( i had high blood pressure ) and second was 7lb 9oz , by C section a week early ( as we knew she was breach ) but i think labour was poss just starting , so i was very lucky to already be going down at that time (; so think they both would have been around 8lbs if they had gone full term , Nobby i used to have a giant football sticking up in my last eight weeks , it was really weird , i was in hospital for six weeks before my first and all the girls in the ward used to have to come and watch this giant bump as it appeared and disapeared (; we assumed it was her bum sticking up lol .
